Request: Elnora Explains Things to Yuri

A request for [link] featuring his badass fighter girl Elnora. I took the liberty however of creating a brand new character for my Rubix and Rocky "universe" or whatever that I've named Yuri Kasugano (get the combo reference?). Typically for requests I just make line art but if I'm making a new character I'll color it just to establish what the character looks like. So, I'm going to tell you a little bit about Yuri!

Yuri is a young woman from Hachinohe, Japan. Yuri was never that great at school which posed many problems for her growing up. Ultimately she dropped out of high school and worked low paying service industry jobs until she reached the age of twenty-one. After getting into a fight with a customer during a particularly frustrating day of work she was actually scouted by a female professional wrestling organization whose owner happened to see the fight. She naturally jumped at the opportunity to become a joshi; the catch was that she was intended to be used as a "cute jobber" that would change costumes every few months to give their stars somebody to beat up on.

Being a female professional wrestler proved confusing and confidence destroying for a young lesbian. She found herself crushing on and actually physically getting crushed by the women she was jobbing to. The other wrestlers never returned her affections and after a while Yuri began to develop scary masochistic behaviors; she started enjoying getting dropped on her head, getting choked out, getting twisted up like a pretzel, etc. She also began to develop kleptomania and started to steal from the other wrestlers in the locker room...and was eventually caught and fired.

Not knowing what else to do she immigrated to the U.S. to try her hand at the rising mixed martial arts craze. It was at this time however that the eco-terrorist chemical attacks happened; attacks that turned most of the people on the western portions of the U.S., Mexico, and Canada into mutated anthropomorphic animals. Yuri was no exception. Perhaps ironically in retrospect of her kleptomania she was mutated into a racoon.

Overall Yuri is a very sweet young woman but one with some potentially unnerving baggage. She hasn't quite grasped the idea of MMA yet (concept of this little sketch) and as a consequence uses more acrobatic pro wrestling moves than simple and more effective attacks...she also until now didn't understand that it wasn't ok to hit someone before the bell like she could have as a wrestler. The joke may actually be on Elnora though since Yuri is probably enjoying the beating she gave.
